I am the department Head of the Social Pediatric Practice at “The Good Samaritan”, an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital “IASO”, in the emergency department, and I serve as a pediatrician at the “SOS Children’s Villages”.
I have been attending families and children as a private pediatrician for several years, and have a private pediatric office in Alsoupoli, at 1 Ipirou, 14235 Nea Ionia.
Recognizing the rapid speed at which methods in medicine are evolving, I follow the developments in pediatric science with great interest, participating in conferences and doing continuous training in subjects of my specialty.
At the same time, I am certified in breastfeeding counselling, have specialised knowledge in and strongly support breastfeeding.
I am married and a mother of three children.
Education & Previous Experience
I come from Greece and Finland and grew up in Athens, I finished secondary school with “excellent”.
I studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. During my studies, I took the opportunity to work as a trainee doctor at the North Karelia Central University Hospital in Finland.
I received my degree in Medicine in 2007 with a grade of “Very good”.
After completing my studies, I participated in clinical and research work at the 3rd Pathology Clinic of the General Hospital “Sotiria” and worked as an instructor at Health Schools IEK, where I was involved in writing and presenting medical courses.
My training in Pediatrics started with the Neonatology Clinic of the Areteion Hospital of the National and Kapodistrian Hospital of Athens. There, in addition to treating newborns and participating in the research and clinical work of the Clinic, I actively participated in the breastfeeding promotion program and the related instruction of mothers, in the framework of the “Infant Friendly Hospital”, and I was a member of the Organizing Committee of the “9th Breastfeeding Workshop”.
Afterwards, I was trained at the paediatric clinic of the “General Hospital of Nikaia”, where I participated in the educational work of the clinic, with presentations and speeches at various conferences. Afterwards, I trained in various departments at the “Aghia Sophia” Children’s Hospital, the “Attikon University General Hospital” and the “Andreas Syngros” Hospital.
After completing my residency and obtaining the title of Pediatrician in 2017, I continued my tenure at the Pediatric Clinic of the General Hospital “Asclepion Voula”, with special interest and participation in the work of the Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic, and subsequently served at the Salamis Health Center.
I have received certification in Specialised Training in Breastfeeding Counselling and Support (KEDIBIM). I have taken part in training on Specialized Life Support for Children (APLS) and on Life Support for the Newborn (NLS).
